Last night, to his disbelief, Friar Laurence found Juliet Capulet, a knife in her breast, Romeo Montague, a lethal potion dripping down his lip, and County Paris, a hole in his chest, all dead in the Capulet tomb. The people of Verona arrived at the scene to find three warm bodies with the Friar standing at their toes. Seeing that Friar Laurence was the only one there, the Prince decided to question him. Laurence was very clear with his words and stated that he had married Juliet and Romeo on the day of Tybalt’s death.
The deaths of Romeo and Juliet was tragic. Many people could be blamed for the situation. Some were more to blame than others. There were many feuds and harsh situations that was caused by one person. This person was Tybalt.
Blame gives the responsibility of fault to someone else. Blame used as a coping mechanism to evade certain situation or outcomes. Blame factors toward the death of Romeo and Juliet. People do not want to admit to their crimes so they point fingers and claim to be the victim. Paris and Romeo and Juliet are the cause of Romeo and Juliet's death.
Romeo and Juliet's death was the fault of many including the parents, the friar and even Romeo and Juliet themselves. Romeo and Juliet had a special connection and their love was so powerful that they both died together, and the question is who is responsible for this calamity. The first character who could have been a reason for Romeo and Juliet's death is Capulet, this is because he forced Juliet into marrying Paris, rather than who Juliet wanted to marry. When Juliet told her father she didn't want to go through with the marriage he did not take it well and took it as Juliet disobeying his orders.
Romeo and Juliet, two people who fell in love meets their disastrous fate, but the question is , who is to blame? The main question is, are they the ones to blame?
There has been lots of injustices here in Verona these past few days, and I would like to address them. After long consideration I have made a decision. Two young lives were wasted carelessly in this tragic story. So many things could have prevented Romeo and Juliet’s young deaths. Though many people were at fault for this tragedy, including themselves, I believe that there were four people who could have easily prevented it. These people were Capulet, both of the Friars, and the Nurse.
The nurse and the parents are accountable and should be blamed for Romeo’s and Juliet’s deaths. Both of them make some sort of mistakes that end the play with death instead of successful love story. The Aggravation and stubbornness, between the two families, are main hidden characters in the play. To begin with, the nurse is blamed for this death incident because she hides Juliet’s marriage from her parents and helps the two lovers to meet secretly, as she also gives a lot of unwise advices to Juliet.
