There has been lots of injustices here in Verona these past few days, and I would like to address them. After long consideration I have made a decision. As many of you know, Romeo and Juliet are both dead and there are some people to blame. I, Prince Escalus, have decided to punish Friar Laurence and Apothecary. Lucky for Capulet and Baltsar, they shall be pardoned for their mistakes. First I will punish Friar Laurence, because he was irresponsible and didn’t think about the consequences that could've come with his actions. The Friar should have never agreed to marry Romeo and Juliet because there are family rivals and shouldn't be married. “For, by your leaves you shall not stay alone Till holy church incorporate two in one.” The Friar exclaimed as he declared Romeo and Juliet to be married. He knew that Romeo was a Montague and Juliet was a Capulet, and he knew that their families don’t get along, and he should've thought about what could go wrong. Since Friar’s intentions were not to hurt anyone and he was only doing what the lovebirds wanted he shall have a less intense punishment.
