Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet is a play by William Shakespeare. In the play, our main character Romeo falls in love with a girl he met at a party, although this girl is the daughter of his family’s enemy, their families are constantly fighting each other in the street. They get married in secret but then Romeo is banished from the city of Verona for murdering Juliet’s cousin, her father decides to plan a wedding for her daughter and this other man named Paris but Juliet does not want to marry him, so Juliet and the Friar produce a plan to fake her death so she can run away with Romeo, but this plan fails horribly ultimately leading to the death of the married couple. The cause of Romeo and Juliets death is ultimately the family feud, there are many reasons for it to be the family feud that caused their death; Romeo wouldn’t have killed Tybalt so Romeo wouldn’t be banished, Romeo and Juliet would not have to love each other in secret, there wouldn’t be any more battles between the family. …show more content…
