Romeo and Juliet is the tragedy by William Shakespeare where two teenagers fall in love, get married, and have almost no choice but to commit suicide. Although some believe that the friar and nurse are to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death, Lord Capulet and Count Paris are to blame. Multiple people can argue the point that Friar Lawerence and Juliet’s nurse are to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet because they helped them get married and the friar gave Juliet a mixture to make her appear dead but just be asleep. However, they are wrong because if Juliet would have never been forced to marry Count Paris she would not have taken the mixture. In the beginning, Lord Capulet says that she is too young to get married. “Too soon marred are those so early made” (page 28 ). However, after Tybalt was murdered he decided she needed to marry Paris so that she would stop crying about Tybalt’s death. When Juliet said she wouldn’t marry Paris, he said "I tell thee what: get thee to church a' Thursday or never after look me in the face," ( page 200 ). He was saying if Juliet didn’t marry Paris he would disown her. Due to her father saying this she went to the friar and got the mixture or potion to make her appear dead but actually just in a deep sleep. Therefore, she wouldn’t have taken the potion if she hadn’t been forced to marry
