The Deaths of Romeo and Juliet It was love at first sight for the young couple of Romeo and Juliet, who knew it would end so terribly. The outstanding play of Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare. Romeo, which was seventeen, and Juliet, which was thirteen, were deeply “in love.” Romeo was capricious with love, and very enthusiastic about the idea of being in love. Juliet had never been in love before and judged a person off of their looks instead of their feelings. When tragic things happen someone is always to blame. While Romeo and Juliet physically committed the acts that ended their own lives, Friar Lawrence and Lady Capulet should be blamed for their deaths. According to the play,”She is an ineffectual mother, relying on the Nurse for moral and pragmatic support (xi).”If Lady Capulet would have been a other towards her child, Juliet would of never went to the Nurse for anything. Another significant reason for the tragic deaths was the forced marriage of Paris. Lady Capulet, along with Lord Capulet were forcing Juliet into an arranged marriage with a man she had not the slightest interest in. They knew that Juliet did not want to marry Paris but they were only thinking about how it could make their family and themselves appeal more to the public.
