Many wonder who should truly be blamed for Romeo and Juliet's death. Could it have been the fact that both of their parents refused to let them see each other which cause this or could it have been Friar Lawrence's or the Nurse's fault for persuading and assisting what they knew would end with trouble. Many describe their deaths as an inevitable event that just couldn't be avoided but couldn't it have? Looking back and reading, it is believed that the Friar had the most influence on both Romeo and Juliet causing their deaths. It was even him who suggested that Juliet wait for Romeo in the tomb, which leads to Romeo killing himself since he supposedly believes that Juliet is dead.
Who is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s Death? In the devastating romance, Romeo and Juliet shows an illustration of how young love is able to cause destruction, not only in their lives but also the people’s lives around them. It also shows how other actor’s thoughts affected the people close to them, but the main question is, who is responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet? The death of Romeo and Juliet was not their fault but Friar Lawrence's. Friar is to blame, not only for one action that contributed to their death, but for three actions.
Some people may believe that Juliet is responsible for the deaths of herself and Romeo. Their argument could be that she caused the tragedy because she willingly went along with Friar Laurence's faulty plan that unraveled into destruction. Although this did occur, it did not ultimately lead to the suicides of both characters. Juliet did agree to the Friar’s plan, but overall it was Romeo who caused the deaths of himself and Juliet. He is the reason the plan ended up failing due to his banishment from Verona.
Who’s to Blame? How would you feel if your child was in an arranged marriage and then found out they are in love with someone else, then killed themselves because they love someone else? How would you feel if you knew someone had assisted them in the process of killing themself? Romeo and Juliet's parents probably have good answers to those questions.
I feel that it is Romeo and Juliet’s families fault that they committed suicide.. The two families had senseless, recurring brawls throughout the story. Lord Capulet was arranging a marriage for Juliet with Paris without her knowledge. Tybalt killed Mercutio after finding out about him and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet, the very first fight scene starts with Montague and Capulet servants.

Death, tragedy, misery, love, and unity, all of these words describe the story of Romeo and Juliet, but it all revolved around Tybalt making his first terrible mistake. In the play Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare, the short story is that two young lovers secretly get married, people murder in anger, the two lovers get separated, and then end their lives in a tragic death because of no communication. But, like I said, this all revolves around a mistake Tybalt makes because of the feud between the Capulet (Juliet’s family) and the Montague (Romeo’s family).
