In Romeo & Juliet they are described as “star-crossed lovers” because of the decisions they made leading up to their death. I believe that Romeo & Juliet decided how they died because of the decisions and consequences they both had to go through. During the book, the couple is on a journey to be together and get married without people knowing because of the different houses they are in. The two lovers run away from fate and later on die in each other's hands. When Romeo and Juliet first meet at the Capulet house during a party, when they first see each other they instantly fall in love, Romeo has to leave because he and his friends were there to crash the party, but Romeo didn’t want to. After a few minutes of Romeo leaving, he runs away and climbs up Juliet's wall and listens to the talk she's having with herself, or eavesdropping on her. While Juliet is talking to herself she's asking herself questions like “why did it have to be Romeo, a montague?” After that, Romeo comes out of the bush and scares Juliet, saying he loves her in a poetic way but plainly saying he loves her, and Juliet wants a straight statement of him proving his love towards him, she doesn't have time for him to swear on the moon of his love for her, she wants him to prove he loves her and wants to know if he intends on marrying her. …show more content…
