Shakesphere starts his famous story with “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, whose misadventured piteous overthrows doth with their death bury their parents’ strife.”(Prologue). Romeo and Juliet lived in the town of Verona, Italy. In Verona there was a long standing feud between two famlies; the Caplets and the Montagues. Were Romeo and Juliet to blame for their famous death? To sumarize what Shakespeare said, Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet both from different sides of the feud fall in love. Juliet was raised by her nurse. Her nurse had no power over her cold hearted parents. Juliet's mother would not talk to, let alone listen to Juliet. Her high tempered dad pushed her to marry young. Unthought through plans and bad advice also played a large role in their deaths. Friar Lawrence gave a very flawed plan and a very dangerous one at that. His plan was to have Juliet take a potion that made her look like she was dead. Then after 48 hours she would wake up, Friar Lawrence would send Romeo a letter and he would be there when she awoke. That all did not work out as you know because they both ended up dead. The final reason is if Mercutio wouldn't of pushed Romeo to go to the Capulet's party when he was sad still sad over Rosaline not loving him he may not have fallen so in love with Juliet so quickly.
