Cheddar Pringles are a well-loved brand of chips that were created about 60 years ago. They were made by the chemist Fredric Baur who figured out the unique shape that the chips have. Even though he saddle shaped the fried dough he was not able to create a good taste for the chips. Since Baur was not able to achieve this, the job was then passed to Alexander Liepa. Liepa was successful in figuring out a taste for Cheddar Pringles, so even though Baur was the true creator, Liepa’s name is on the patent. After the chips were made they found the name for them from a town in Ohio. As shown above, the process of creating Cheddar Pringles was a some-what complicated one, but was worth it in the end.
