Augustine was made a saint and declared one of the adopt of the not late Christian Church. More importantly, he was hugely weighty to theologians as they protracted to develop Christian thought throughout the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Sound abstracted and inconsequent? Well, believe what? Confession is a huge divide in today's culture, regardless of henotheism.
There are not many people that changed history and specifically Christianity, that we know of today. Thomas Cranmer was born in Nottingham, England on July 2, 1489. His parents were minor gentry which means that they were the poorest of the rich. Cranmer’s father only had enough land to give to Thomas’ older brother, so Cranmer didn’t get anything. Thomas then left his family and went to school at Cambridge to start his holy life and become a priest.

2nd Century Through Modernity Irenaeus was a wise church father that many might say saved the Orthodox Church from heresies, Gnosticism being one. He played a crucial role in the upbringing of Christian theology—being instrumental in taming Gnosticism within the church, and being one of the first Christian thinkers to work out, as stated by Roger Olson, “theories of original sin and redemption.” Both Christians and Gnostics fought for their points of faith. The major difference, as stated above, are the view of Christ and his divinity. For the many Christians, Christ had to be fully human and fully divine to have the power to save humanity from eternal damnation.

Classical theory is a philosophical theory based on reason and born of the Enlightenment period or “Age of Reason”, in which its’ “scientific” worldview was a challenge to the theologically based worldview and authority of the Catholic Church (Bohm & Vogel, 2011, p. 13). With this, came a dramatic source of knowledge, especially in areas pertaining to personal observations, where rationalism was used by thinkers to reason from the general to the particular or to apply theory to a particular case as they believed that people could understand the world through science (Bohm & Vogel, 2011, p. 14). Beccaria is credited with ending legal torture throughout Christendom by criminal law historians; as his book had a great practical effect during

He was the son of the famous Saint Monica, but despite his mother being a devout Christian his father believed in paganism.
These people were tremendously diverse, but each one had unique way of making a difference. Some of these people include Constantine the Great, who was the emperor of the Romans. Another person who helped construct and aid in the expansion of the religion was the Apostle Paul, a Roman born missionary who preached his ideas amongst others.
