Prior to the United States joining the war, it wasn’t looking good for the Allies. Germany was on the offensive and feeling very cocky and confident. Germany was within 40 miles of Paris and if they managed to conquer Paris, their chances of winning the war would increase tremendously. Unfortunately for the Germans, the United States showed up just in time to fight them off. 600,000 American soldiers fought the Germans off and German numbers began to dwindle.
The countries that were involved in world war 1 were Serbia, Russia, France, Britain, Italy and the USA. The side that won the war was Great Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union formed a Grand Alliance that was the key to victory. Germany did not know they lost the war because German territory was rarely occupied in the war while Germany conquered a vast Empire in the east and subdued Romania and Serbia in the South. The war that the Versailles treaty officially put an end to was the First World War. The US president claimed that reductions to trade barriers, fair adjustment of colonies, and respect for national self-determination would reduce economic and nationalist sentiments that lead to war.
Trade with Germany fell to less than 1% than it previously did.4. The U.S traded with the Allies massive amounts of munitions and went to great extents to do so. The U.S sent many of their trades with ships that contained innocent civilians in attempt to cover up their intentions. World War I, the Great War, took place from June 28, 1914 until November 11, 1918. The Great War began after several countries declared war on each other. There were four fronts: Eastern front, Western front, Atlantic front, and Middle Eastern front. All the actions that took place in each front all led to the armistice being signed on the eleventh of November. World War I started as mainly a European conflict seeing as most allies originated from countries in Europe and Europe had most of the power, but in the end it expanded to beyond Europe as outside countries were brought into the conflict for multiple reasons.
From the start of World War I in 1914 there were two different sides ,the Allied powers (which consisted of France Russia and Great Britain) ,and the Central Powers (Austria Hungary and Germany). The war began due to the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary. This assassination was the straw that broke the camels back ,as tensions were already high due to militarism imperialism nationalism and the gaining of allies. At the beginning of World War I United States had a policy of neutrality ,President Woodrow Wilson said (in the message to the Senate) "every man who really loves America will speak and act in the true spirit of neutrality". The United States was afraid of getting involved in World
While the United States proclaimed itself as a neutral country in the beginning of the devastating first World War, many disagree with the statement that America wanted to remain neutral for various reasons. World War I began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, then quickly escalated to division into two sides between European countries; including the Allied Powers, which consisted of Britain, France, Russia, Italy, and the Central Powers that included Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria. Since the United States made it obvious they favored the Allied Powers before they entered World War I, the other countries against these nations took this friendliness between the countries and America as a threat and interference of war. This resulted in the Central Powers noticing an unfair disadvantage for themselves.
The United States did not want to take part in World War I, the U.S simply wanted to stay neutral but then the war started to interfere with the U.S financial state. President Wilson did not want to declare war right away, instead he stated that the United States needed to prepare their army to ensure them victory. With both sides in the war running low on supplies Wilson believed it was better to be safe than sorry since the Unites States military lacked supplies, support and unity from Americans. Why is that? The U.S military around the time of the 1900’s was considered to be one of the smallest and weakest in the world because of this there was no chance against a German army of 4.5 million men.

World War 1 lasted from 1914 to 1919 and rudimentarily, was the fight between the Allied powers and the Central powers. All countries had some participation and damage done throughout World War 1, and the countries who started the war may be obscure. By doing this, the Germans killed many Americans unjustly. If the U.S didn 't do anything, then the Germans would 've kept sinking more ships and killing the Americans that were onboard. Also, the Allies were losing the war. The soldiers were exhausted from all the years of fighting (trench warfare), it took a long time to even advance.

Americans were already skeptical of Germany due to the previous relationships, and the Germans re-sparked the sensitive areas when they did not go to the meeting. Germany signed the Tripartite Pact, and the fascist powers Germany, Japan, and Italy joined together opposing European order, and Russian communism. The war was so far away, and did not involve United States soil. Consequently, we just stayed out of it and made money from trading goods.
