Thanksgiving dinner is a very special time and is getting close. We all go spend time with family, but most importantly eat good food. Now sometimes there is something on the table that you are craving fiercely and that’s all you think about until you get some. Well same goes for extreme sports. Have you ever looked at a cliff and thought, 'Wow! I really want to jump off that! ' Maybe some of you have and maybe some of you haven 't. This question has only one answer for a lot of extreme sports athletes. It 's a yes, and that 's not even the craziest or scariest thing they have ever done. I am one of these athletes and enjoy the danger of living on the edge. But a lot of questions come up when a topic like this gets discussed. Many people ask similar things about people who do extreme sports. What goes on in their brain that makes them put themselves in life threatening situations? According to Frank Farley, a psychology professor at Temple University, "the athletes do this purely for the high of an adrenaline rush." I can tell you from experience that after the first adrenaline rush you can 't quit. You keep trying bigger and bolder things to keep getter bigger and better rushes. The life threatening part is known by the adrenaline junkies, but that is put to the side knowing they 're doing something they love. Another reason for doing these crazy things is to have contrast to regular life. Routine can get monotonous, so what better way to shake off a routine and fly 100 mph in a suit after jumping off a cliff. I bet a lot of you have seen these things being done and think how cool it would be if that could be you to do that.
