When I was in the military, I remember training that included: rope climbing, low crawling under barbwire, jumping logs and window jumps. I found it to be so much fun. I liked the adrenaline rush the training gave me when I completed the courses. I served in the Army for four years in my third year, I broke my foot running and jumping to a rope during training. It caused me to develop a rare nerve disease that caused me not to walk for two years. As I stood there and looked up at the Basler Course; memories fled through my mind. As I stood there scared I tried to remind myself of the times that I enjoyed training like the Basler Course, but I kept thinking of that one training that steered my life in a different direction.
