In the United States of America, the problem with waste management is that we have too much trash in our landfills. Did you know, we are responsible for more than 30% of the the planet’s total waste generation. Every American produces about 4.6 pounds of trash a day, or more than 1,650 pounds of garbage every year. That is a lot of waste! We can have Compost Cans, and just some garbage cans. We can put them around cities, and especially places that people got to eat a lot. We can have taller compost cans, and recycling cans, and smaller garbage cans. we can also educate people about our ideas, and we can reward people positively, and negatively. If they are being positive we can congratulate them, and give them a certificate. if they are being negative, we can give them a fine of 500 dollars, so they will not do it again. At the beginning, and end of each neighborhood, we can have air suction recycling, toxic, medicine, and garbage sorting machines, that put all the things for recycling into one package. The people that work for the new solution for waste management can pick up the stuff once a week, and take them to a garage or warehouse, and sell the packages of waste, or toxic supplies, or medicines, or recycling trash, to other places for them to reuse these things. We can educate people by having a waste not want not trash organization in schools and communities. We can also have biodegradable plastic, instead of regular plastic, that way it can break down into the dirt quickly. Instead of using plastic, we can even use paper, that way we can save the environment, also paper breaks down quicker than plastic. Our city goal is to be a green city
