Why I Chose UW-Madison University

Trying to find a college that was the right fit for me was a challenge, but after some extensive research and stepping foot on the University of Wisconsin- Madison campus I knew this was the college for me.

As actively involved student at my high school, I knew I wanted to continue to pursue those activities. However, I also knew I wanted to be able to venture out and try something new. The University of Wisconsin- Madison offers me a wide assortment of activities and opportunities ranging from athletics like the UW Tennis Club to academic programs such as Bicore. One of the reason I chose UW-Madison was the location. Because the campus is integrated into the beautiful city of Madison, it allows a closer connection with the surrounding community. At the UW- Madison, I would have the opportunity to continue to participate in sports like tennis, but also try something different like rowing. One aspect of the UW-Madison campus that is particularly unique is that offers many outdoors activities due its lakes, and various trails. I would take full advantage of this as I live a fairly active lifestyle and appreciate all things nature. Taking advantage of these extracurricular would allow me to create relationships with my peers outside of the classroom and

Furthermore, I chose UW-Madison for its high quality education illustrated through the University's professors and programs. Coming in as Biology major, possibly pre-med, the University of Wisconsin-Madison offers a variety of opportunities to help me grow a student and a person. One program that drew my eye to the University was the Bicore program. The Bicore program would not only challenge me as student, but it would also give the opportunity to further develop my problem solving and teamwork skills. These skill sets which will later benefit me in the work
