Personal Statement: Going To UW-Superior

Going to UW-Superior is something that I have wanted for a long time. I can bring many new things to the community. I have travelled a bit, I enjoy helping the community and my professional pursuits will hopefully one day better the world.

Whenever you travel you learn many new ideas. Everyplace you go to is different. I love traveling to new places and learning everything I can. When I come back I can share the ideas that I have learned to benefit the community. While touring a college, I learned that they have an annual fundraiser where they race rubber ducks for a hunger drive. I brought that idea to my FFA chapter and now we are currently working on a way to do something similar at my high school. While I have only traveled in Wisconsin I can not wait to go farther and share ideas from the whole world to make UW-Superior the best place it can possibly be. …show more content…

Both of these organizations are all about helping the community. In FFA we host several events that help our community. There is the blood drive that we do twice a year and a hunger drive, also twice a year, called Dodge Hunger. In student council, we are more concerned with the school community. We try to change, as much as we can, rules or policies that students dislike. We attend board meetings once a month as student representatives. When I do these things I feel like I am making a difference in our community. While at UW-Superior I can join the organization called Helping Hands and help everyone, including animals, in the community.Going to UW-Superior is something that I have wanted for a long time.
