I want to start by saying how thankful and blessed I am to be given the opportunity to represent a school that I love, by being a Bomber Cheerleader. Being a Bomber Cheerleader for four years has been one of my greatest joys and something I absolutely love. I feel very passionate about this team and would love to be given the opportunity to have a leadership role on this team. Throughout the past four years of cheerleading I have grown so much and can proudly say I love what I do. When it comes to cheer, I am always willing to try new things and to encourage others throughout the way. When a task is given to me, I want to be the one that finishes it and does it with responsibility and care. I want the best job to be done for my team. As a student that achieves to make all A’s throughout the school year, and an individual who gives all my time to cheer, I feel that I would be able to handle anything thrown my way. Being on the cheer team for four years has shown me several things that I want to improve and things I can work on to make my team better. I want to be a light of positivity for my team. I want to be the person that encourages others to try new things and to be the person that others can depend on when they’re struggling. I also believe in order to make a good captain, you need to have not only responsibility, positivity, skill, and communication, but discipline as well. I feel that as a captain of this team, I can create a positive and strong environment for my team to have a strong love for cheer. This allows your teammates to respect you and want to become a better cheerleader. I can see people’s strengths and weaknesses and help them overcome them in a fun, positive way. I know that being a captain takes a lot of hard work, time, and dedication and I would love nothing more than to be the one who dedicates my time to this team. I will stand with this team to the end, through the good and the bad. At times, I might seem quiet, or not the best cheerleader out there, etc, but I am really trying hard behind the scenes to become a better cheerleader and finding ways to help make our team wonderful. Being not only a cheerleader, but a captain means way more than sidelines, ball games, sporting events, pep-rally’s and leading your team. It’s how you appear to the community and how you are as a student and person. You want someone smart, responsible, and dedicated to be the very best person they can be.
