Some say destiny is a predetermined future but the only thing that interferes with your future is your own decisions and actions. Destiny is something an individual decides because fortune or doom only comes through good or bad decisions. This scholarship will help dictate my future through allowing me access to college so I have the ability to gain the knowledge necessary to perform on the job. To many, college is an underlying obstacle that you have to go through in order to become successful. College is not a barrier that you must pass; it is a foundation that you must build upon. Sports give kids the ability to aspire to become something eminent. These students should not become affluential adults that forget the dream that elevated them to such standards. In today's society I find that kids are more focused on stardom and material wealth than they are about having fun within their sport. Sports were created as a game, not a way to become rich. I dream to change the basis in which kids approach sports. I solely believe kids can aspire to attain an occupation in a specific sport but I wish to keep their love for the game burning within. So many people get caught up in the monetary value; they lose sight of their original intent. I would love to inspire kids to become professional athletes for the reason of spreading enjoyment of the activity. At my local golf course I love to take part in playing with the younger kids and helping them develop a passion for golf. Joining them for a round is enjoyable because it gives me an opportunity to encourage them and tell them all about amusement the game can give
