Getting into a college was always a must for me. I never truly thought about why I wanted to go, but I followed everyone else and tried to aim for the best university I could find. At the time, I assumed it was common sense that everyone should attend college. But as I grew up, I began to understand the numerous reasons to seek higher education. College is an opportunity for furtherment. It opens up different career paths and provides experience that could not be attained otherwise. Most jobs require special knowledge and a degree, both of which can be found in college. Those who attend college are more likely to find a job and, on average, make more money. A good education can create the framework for a successful life and might even help one make a difference in the world. As I grew up, I remember changing my aspirations like one changes TV channels. I wanted to be a librarian, a scientist, a veterinarian, a fashion designer, an actress, a neurosurgeon, a psychiatrist, a linguist, a singer, and, most recently, a music producer. Thinking back, I realize that most of these careers require a certain level of education, and much of this education is most effectively acquired through higher education. Furthermore, completing my education has been one of my major objectives in life. Going to college will mean the fulfillment of this goal. I believe that college can help me build a career, gain experience and knowledge, and reach my goals. It is a chance to complete my education and possibly go further in life. College opens many doors, and I wish to take advantage of that. I want to go to college
