Throughout my life, I have wanted to grow up to be many different things. Growing up my life was opens many Real possibilities some of the jobs I saw myself doing where equestrian, veterinarian,” a court officer, a professional baseball player, a lawyer, and a drug addiction. These are only a few careers that I thought I would pursue when I grow older. Growing up some of these careers were a complete possibility if I were to put my head to it. Growing up my moms tell me that I had the opportunity to do whatever I want to make me happy.
There were no boundaries set in place when I thought of my future, or when I was asked about what I wanted to do. My mom never pushed me to go to college however when it came time to look she brought me to a college fair and I …show more content…

I know that I will change paths many times throughout my career as a counselor, however, I believe I will stay in the same or similar field. As of now I would like to work with the LGBT+ population, for I have a deep connection with the community. I think that youth and young adults need support in their lives even more in this community. I believe this because everywhere you turn there is discrimination for this community that many people would not notice because they are not part of the community. I think another reason I want to go into this is because I am Trans and I realize that not only do heterosexual not understand what Trans people have to go through but even other members of my community do not even know what its like. So in addition to wanting to be an LGBT+ counselor I would like to teach about this subject either by presentations or by teaching at a school. I have a strong belief that education is power, as long as it is used right. I do see myself working past the age of retirement for I do not think I would want to do nothing on most days nor do I believe I will have my loans paid off, however, I think I will enjoy working till I can not
