Dunkin Donuts is a brand that has its origins in the New England area and is amongst the greatest bakery chains to have started in the northeast. Started in Boston Massachusetts, more specifically known as Quincy, the store was first opened in 1950 by William Rosenberg. Fast forward 60 years and the business is starting to feel the wear and tear of their business. Here are those reasons. One of the reasons why this business seems to be so popular is because citizens have the ability to open their own franchises. This is usually done by bringing on famous actors to portray other famous actors or scenarios. SNL got wind of the brand's problems. They decided to shed some light on in by bringing in a Boston native Casey Affleck to show the current state of the company with a polished fake commercial that you would normally see from the real company. The scene starts with multiple customers sharing their “true feelings” about the brand and new products. Amongst them is Casey who is smoking his cigarette half inside and half outside. This gives us the low-brow, blue collar image that the brand is trying to get rid of and become friendlier with their customers. Some of Casey’s antics include yelling at other customers who are minding their own business and not tempting Casey at all.
