1. I really liked how she talked to her students about her expectations to read twelve books over break but she only read eight.
2. I think it is very important to share that it is okay to not like a book even if everyone else likes it. Just because it has good ratings and is popular doesn’t mean you have to like it.
3. Telling students, you don’t like a book can have a positive outcome. They begin to want to read the books you don’t like to prove you wrong.
4. Not only with reading, but other aspects of learning it is IMPORTANT to engage in activities you expect your students to.
5. When we as teachers don’t get children excited about reading we are creating adults who don’t read. It is a huge responsibility.
