John Dillinger
“They’re not going to get me,” these are the words of the late John Dillinger. Dillinger became a victim to his pride and confidence and was eventually “caught” and was killed. One cannot simply express how much John Dillinger did to affect law enforcement in a positive way. John Dillinger, his name can start a thousand fires, his name was also #1 on the FBI Most Wanted during the early 1930’s. John Dillinger is the reason the FBI became such a staple and a backbone for the United States of America. Also, Roosevelt, who was the President of the FBI, said that the Dillinger case brought him to fame. Dillinger set the bar for how successful and diligent a FBI agent must be to catch a high target criminal. Without John, who knows how impactful the FBI would be in today's society. Would they have been the laughing stock of Government Agencies, or would they be what they are today? A class of high IQ agents who work hard to protect the people of America.

His reign as FBI Director started in 1917, in the 1920s and 1930s, he proved to be a key figure in structuring the FBI (“FBI Founded”). “He built the agency into an efficient crime-fighting machine, establishing a centralized fingerprint file, a crime laboratory, and a training school for agents (“FBI Founded”).” Obviously, for quite some time, crime was getting out of hand and needed to be changed. Hoover had an answer and as a result, was named Director of the FBI. His key ideas of how things were done are still being used by the FBI today. Another thing Hoover was known for was his publicized arrests. Most notably around 1934-1935, which happened to be the same time period Dillinger was caught by the FBI.
