Signature Assignment The decision to use the atom bomb by President Harry S. Truman was morally right and some of these reasons why it was being the fact that it saved many soldiers, it help make a breakthrough in the war which made it possible to ultimately end the war. In World War II the atom bomb had been launch on Hiroshima and help move the progress of having them surrender to the United states and its allies. Americans were outraged by the way Japan attacked us and it ultimately caused us to join the war and have us counter attack them. The war against Japan was likely to drag on and be the bloodiest seaborne battles. (History) Until the new option of using the atom bomb which was tested in New Mexico desert. (History) United States had Japan surrender in four years of joining the war. United States join the war in December 1941 and Japan surrendered in 1945. (History) Japan time in the war was severely severed by the attack of launching the atom bomb making us closer to victory. Japan soldiers never had a chance to attack us head on with us using our atom bombs to destroy their cities and if we had kept on bombing them we could have ended up wiping out their government by attacking their bases and capitals until they lost their will to fight against us and to stand with Germany and Italy. The bombings would have been constantly raining down on them and without having any of their own there could be no standstill, stalemate or even resistance enough to worry about. Japan was stuck between being destroyed or dropping out of the war with unconditional surrender. (History) Which was tied into the researcher of atom bombs because Germany was supposedly researching it as well which is why we started to research uranium and how to make the atom bomb with it. (History) The atom bomb had killed many people by bombing Japan with it but the results of it saved many of United States citizens and most importantly it soldiers as well. World War II had ended in 1945 and had started in 1939. (History) The United states had entered later than when the war had started in 1939 because it did not want to join the war to cause problems with Japan but it did want to help China so it had made them stand back and wait to see what to do. (History) The United States did not want to be dragged into this war but instead of being dragged they were forced to because of a national event that had enraged the citizens and the government. The United starts entered after the bombing of Pearl Harbor also called the Battle of Pearl Harbor in 1941. (History) The Japanese had flown in planes to attack them threw the mountain ranges to get close enough to attack by surprise using the mountains as cover and to avoid getting noticed on the radar by the United States.
