There is nothing more frustrating than when you are running late for work and you attempt to hail a cab, but they continue to drive right past you. You were already in a rush from the beginning, but now you will never make it to your 9:00 am meeting because you have to wait for the next available taxi. When commuting in a city, your only goal is to get to and from work in a safe, timely manner. That is where the mobile app, Uber, can help you. Uber is a ridesharing service used predominately in an urban setting where someone uses their own vehicle to take you to your desired destination. Some people that live in these cities may be older business workers who may not be completely up-to-date in the technology world. Having an easy to understand app is beneficial for the audience because they are given options with the type of car requested, forms of payment, destination pickup, etc. Since the app is synched with your credit or debit card, you will not need use cash and you are able to split payments. This makes carpooling easier for the audience because exact cash and tips are not needed. The text promotes Uber’s goal in making traveling easy and stress free by allowing you to be in complete control.
