Should the school day start later?
Have you ever dreamed or wished that school started later? Many kids sure have. Although many argue and believe that school should not start later here are three reasons why. Did you know that early school hours prevent many students and teachers from getting the 9 hours or so hours of sleep per night that they need. Three reasons why school should start later is because there would be more time to study or do homework in the morning, more time with friends & family, and more time rest.
First of all students would have more time to study or do homework in the morning. Students would be able to study before the test that day and so that it is fresh in their minds and that they don’t forget that easily. Students would also be able to do remaining homework that they might have not finished the day before. It would give the ability to teacher and student check any additional work so they didn’t forget anything. …show more content…

Having school start later allows us to spent some family time in the morning without all the stress of being late. They could also talk to friends if we have any questions before school starts. Students would be able to talk to family about anything before school so that they can discuss any concerns before class and if you are stressed or upset our parents could cheer us up before school started so that we are ready to start the day positive without any worries or concerns. Lastly, students would get more time to rest. Students and teacher might be in a better mood when they get more hours of sleep. Students and teacher would much better rested before school so they aren’t sleepy during the day and could concentrate much easier. More sleep also helps the students and teachers memories and process information
