School should Start Later School districts should make a change to their schedule. School starting later would fix a bunch of huge problems about school districts. Some people may say that school starting early isn’t that bad though, it would just be annoying to wake up early. School districts should change their time because of the bus arrival times, the education of students, and sleep concerns of kids. The general attitude of the bus drivers would be so much better if the school day started later in the morning. Having later buses would be so much nicer in many categories. One of the big things is that they would actually be later. It would make it that more students have more time to sleep in. Another thing about the busses being later is that the bus drivers wouldn’t be so cranky. Bus drivers are sometimes tired and cranky in the morning. One other thing we have to worry about in the morning is it being dark. It generally makes people tired when it's dark outside. It’s not fun when students go to school and they are very tired. When it is light outside, we can actually see where we are going so we can see people or we can see when we're close to the school. If school was early than the bus would come earlier. Usually, grades after first period starting school earlier are worse than the ones that start later. Students just get a better education when school starts at a later time. There was a study that they did on 100 kids. The kids that started school before 8:30 had practically all B’s. The students that started after 8:30 have better grades from the other kids. When kids are tired, their grades are usually worse than other kids. They don’t think straight or they just mess up. It would be better if school just started after 8:30. There are studies that early is better too. But there are more for later being better. Most grades are better with a later start
