Why is sleep important?
Sleep plays an important role in good health and well being. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. Sleep helps your brain work properly. While you're sleeping, your brain is preparing for the next day. It's forming new pathways to help you learn and remember information.
Studies show that a good night sleep improves your learning,Whether you're learning for example, how to play an instrument, how to perfect your football skills, or how to drive a car, sleep helps your problem-solving skills. Sleep also helps you pay attention, make decisions, …show more content…

Do you remember it?
We asked some people outside the school if they remember their dreams and if they dream or not. 75% if the people we asked dream when they sleep and 25% don’t dream when they sleep. Many people that we asked dreamt good dreams and only a few people had bad dreams.
We also asked if they remembered their dreams but only ⅓ remembered their dreams and they only remembered very little of their dream. ⅔ of the people that we asked didn’t remember their dream and had a really hard time remembering it.

Why you shouldn't sleep with your lights on
To get a good night sleep you should sleep in total darkness. sleeping with the lights on stimulates a nerve pathway from the eyes to some parts of the brain that controls hormones, body temperature other functions that plays a big role in making us feel sleepy or wide awake. Too much light right before bed may prevent you from getting the sleep you need, and increasing the risk of depression, you should only be exposed to light in daytime because the brain is more active in daylight and if you sleep with lights on the brain will keep being active and drain more energy.
