Art programs are important to a student´s average school day, they are time amidst the school day that a student can feel as though they are in their element. A time throughout the day where they can relax and be themselves and focus on something they truly enjoy. Classrooms across America are facing budget cuts, unfortunately this causes the products that these classrooms use to below quality and the classroom are not able to support the students they have. These programs should not be cut from schools because they help students academically, socially, and developmentally. From a young age schools and parents have used art programs to help students learn, whether it be with singing to help memorize words or matching pictures to a story.

Music and art programs should not leave the school building. These programs are important to many students and even faculty. Removing these programs could possibly affect these students and possibly the faculty. Students in these programs are in there for a reason. What i am saying, is that these programs should not be cut, because students show their talents, they're beneficial for your future career, and student can express who they are.
High school students should be required to take at least one arts course each year. Taking an arts course helps students find another subject of interest and try new things. For example, before high school, there is a chance that a student has never taken an arts course before, so now the student has a chance to find another subject of interest in the arts, or simply try it out. As a result, students end up learning more about themselves, and students may even think about taking up one of the arts as a career or hobby. It all goes to show that students should be required to take at least one arts course each year, as students are able to find another subject of interest.

It is important to study something in school that you enjoy but that is also useful in the real world. I have always been asked, “what's your major?”. I would answer art history and always got a response like, “what are you going to do with that?”. Most parents and students don’t feel that there is a good foundation from learning Art History. It is often heard from high school and college students (influenced by their parents) that to succeed you must major in science, technology, engineering, or business.
Modern day schooling forces students to fit a mold only a select few can fill by creating too much structure and having an overbearing emphasis on math and science, when other, less structured extracurricular activities can promote respect, discipline, and teamwork. Most would agree that, in early stages of life, art is a detrimental and necessary part of any child’s early development and education. In fact, Pre-K through third grade’s education curriculum is usually centered around promoting early creativity and a fondness for learning. Kids learn math by counting colorful pieces of bricks. They learn both science and the basic principles of functionality by playing with train sets and toy cars.

There are many more arts and subjects schools should use to encourage creativity. Including physical subjects, like PE. And those results should improve in our society.
