Involving familiar aspects of play, such as painting and producing an art work, will allow the child to be more comfortable when participating
I have been in love with theatre since the 5th grade. This article mentioned several things that I thought were very true. First, getting children involved in the arts early is just an all around good idea. Being able to sing, act, and dance can open many doors they may not even know existed. It can also force kids to step out of their comfort zone.
Why should students be required to take an arts class? Arts is where students can show their artistic abilities or their musical talents to everyone else. Students should be required to take an arts class because those classes can open up more career opportunities, the students in the class work together in groups, and the student can show their ability to do different things that maybe someone else can’t do. The first reason as of why the class should be required is the class could open up more career opportunities in the future.
I believe that experiences shape who you are as a person. They give you skills that can be useful later in life, and can even lead to you figuring out what you want to do with your life. I ranked Art Expressions first because I feel the most passionate about this area, and feel as if I have the proficiency to teach these kids about the arts in a way that will bring them joy and further knowledge about the arts. I ranked Recreation second because I understand that maybe not every kid is into the arts, however, recreational activities can yield similar results. Recreational activities can lead to finding a passion in life, and getting one through life.
I know that creativity and the art is very important material for children to learn at a early age. Also in the creativity and art area they are able to figure out different problem and then are able to solve them. In the art area it can help boost their child self confidence and self esteem while in the classroom. One way I will suggestion to the families and caregivers is to make sure that their activities are age appropriate. The second suggestion I will make sure that they have enough room to explore and developing their gross motor skils.
My own experience in the arts has shown me that arts is important to a child’s education. The arts has helped me grow as a person in multiple ways. Arts has helped me build a creative side, which
As well as being a form of expression it has also been linked to helping with boosting one’s self-confidence and motivation inside and outside the classroom. A student getting involved in art programs, drama clubs, or music programs are activating and stimulating a part of the brain that correspond with retaining information which can be a benefiting factor in helping other subjects. Studies have shown that kids who listened to music such as Mozart had a higher IQ than kids who did not. Study after study proves that the arts have been linked to helping develop a young mind and can be used for so much more than a way for someone to express their feelings. It has been proven that countries such as Japan, Netherlands, and Hungary who require all
I cherish art. Something about it says one million words in just a glance and another million if you take the time to appreciate it. Art to me is a way to share one's emotion and draw out the real occurrences of a person's life. You can create it on a wall or tree or a person and if that doesn't speak to you then make it from your heart. Art has also been used for not only expression, but for stories that record our history.
The arts were pushed into a corner, despite being able to help students grow who they are as people, but also help them in other important areas of school. The arts are important in education and should get funding appropriately. Receiving a good education in the arts can greatly help a student’s mental well being. Many students in school are shy, reserved,
Music is an amazing thing that has many different genres and lyrics. While some people play music, others choose to just listen to it. You may play in a school band or orchestra, or just for fun. I think people should have a choice of it they want to play an instrument or not. Playing an instrument shouldn’t be required of students because all kids aren’t on the same learning level, instruments are expensive, and some people just don’t have the time for it.
Instruments, art, and music are all an important part of school. Weather you’re in elementary school, middle school, high school, or college you have some type of arts in school, and the arts should be required for all schools. The arts should be required for school education because students connect with each other better. The students also seem to enjoy school more. Based on research taking the fine arts often results in fewer fights, greater understanding of diversity, and greater peer support.
Public art can be the display of art in any form of media. In the past, artists have expressed it through paintings, murals, graffiti, performance, sculptures or carvings. Public art can be abstract or realistic. The scale of the art is not important as the message that the piece presents to the public can be inconsequential to it’s size. It can be viewed in just one location or spread out throughout an area.
It is important to study something in school that you enjoy but that is also useful in the real world. I have always been asked, “what's your major?”. I would answer art history and always got a response like, “what are you going to do with that?”. Most parents and students don’t feel that there is a good foundation from learning Art History. It is often heard from high school and college students (influenced by their parents) that to succeed you must major in science, technology, engineering, or business.
Introduction Visual and performing arts tend to act as separate entities within the field of education; considerably isolated from the majority of academia, these sectors are often considered to be secondary or elective options after completing primary education. The arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education, however, when an institute begins a budgeting process, the arts are rarely considered a top priority. For example, during periods of recession many public schools within the United Stated were forced to cut visual, performing and musical arts programs, despite studies that proved the exposure to the arts to be beneficial for students both academically and in extracurricular activities. Learning in an art-infused environment
People say that spending money on arts in education is a waste of resources. This article states, “The academic benefits of art education are unproven”(See). Although, there are many examples and observations of art improving the education of a child and helping them to focus their attention to the task at hand. It is also stated, “Listening to music, however, does not seem to have a positive impact. Or at least there is no evidence to suggest that it does.
