Why should students be required to take an arts class? Arts is where students can show their artistic abilities or their musical talents to everyone else. Students should be required to take an arts class because those classes can open up more career opportunities, the students in the class work together in groups, and the student can show their ability to do different things that maybe someone else can’t do. The first reason as of why the class should be required is the class could open up more career opportunities in the future.
I know that creativity and the art is very important material for children to learn at a early age. Also in the creativity and art area they are able to figure out different problem and then are able to solve them. In the art area it can help boost their child self confidence and self esteem while in the classroom. One way I will suggestion to the families and caregivers is to make sure that their activities are age appropriate. The second suggestion I will make sure that they have enough room to explore and developing their gross motor skils.
The arts can assist teachers in the transition to Common Core standards. There are many ways, in which, art can integrated with common core. As the district moves ahead with planning and budget allocation, I hope that the board will consider increased funding to improve the district’s arts education programs.
RST - Arts Education Funding Should Not Be Cut Numerous schools are considering cutting funds from arts educations to expand STEM classes. Without the arts programs students would miss out on the benefits of learning about art, drama, music, and foreign language. Some of the benefits they would be missing out on are the relieving qualities of art, the ability to express their emotions, and the advantages in the academic classroom. Studies have shown that having art or music does increase the amount of information a student retains (Hawkins 1). The most prominent positive effect are the core classes like math, science, English, and history will have larger budgets and they will be able to afford the technology and supplies they need to stay up to date in the classroom. In the common core subjects students will only memorize the current lesson just to pass the test. For this reason, programs like art should not only be available but should be a requirement. Throughout elementary school a majority of the students would say that art is their favorite subject, they enjoy it since they are able to use their minds freely and can create friendships with others. Why should we take away a subjects children actually enjoy doing and learning about.
This is where we see the most budget cuts happening. When budget cuts happen, the first programs to go are usually the art programs. It's sad because art programs tend to be the most therapeutic for children. This was a powerful essay. During the 1930s, art education was greatly supported in the U.S. However, as time progressed the focus of education shifted to more standardized tests, science, and math.
Modern day schooling forces students to fit a mold only a select few can fill by creating too much structure and having an overbearing emphasis on math and science, when other, less structured extracurricular activities can promote respect, discipline, and teamwork. Most would agree that, in early stages of life, art is a detrimental and necessary part of any child’s early development and education. In fact, Pre-K through third grade’s education curriculum is usually centered around promoting early creativity and a fondness for learning. Kids learn math by counting colorful pieces of bricks. They learn both science and the basic principles of functionality by playing with train sets and toy cars.
So, must of them must help you to encourage your creativity. And not only in specific areas, I personally don 't think schools are doing enough to encourage the students creativity. There are many more arts and subjects schools should use to encourage creativity. Including physical subjects, like PE. And those results should improve in our society.
