Why We Should Take Away An Elementary School Curriculum

Although many elementary schools are growing in art education. Numerous high schools are trying to find ways to cut budgets as much as they can by eliminating costs that aren't directly related to educating students on a common core. Therefore multiple high schools will cut programs such as art and music. However this will negatively affect students tremendously. It will take away from their ability to express themselves. In the common core subjects students will only memorize the current lesson just to pass the test. For this reason, programs like art should not only be available but should be a requirement.
Throughout elementary school a majority of the students would say that art is their favorite subject, they enjoy it since they are able to use their minds freely and can create friendships with others. Why should we take away a subjects children actually enjoy doing and learning about. The only way student will actually want to further their education is if they enjoy it and if the resources are available to them so that they can expand their knowledge in creativity. A more creative mind can lead to better problem solving and genius ideas. Life can be stressful and overwhelming at some points. So an art class could be a great to let the mind relax and roam free to all unknown possibility's. Art can in fact open up a person's view on things. For an example, one may look at a cloud and see something completely different than another person. Creativity is different in everyone its how we can express are feeling personally instead of teaching 150 students the exact same thing and then testing on it. Everyone learns differently, so why would you teach the same? If there were more variety's of teaching with more creativity more students would learn a lot more they would be more interested in the subject if it wasn't common core
