In a recent study in Yucaipa High School 86.9 percent of students say that dress codes are directly to females. Students should be able be able to wear whatever they want.Dress codes in general are sexist around the world. As well as not being able to wear certain things like spagetti straps, shorts , and half of cute dresses that your mom buys for you. Lastly students should be able represent and label themselves in their own unique ways.Students should be comfortable when it is hot outside This is three reasons why dress codes should be abolish. Teens can express themselves with their style and their individuality. Depending on what you wear of course depends. Students should express themselves with their clothing.According to Robert Garot “Implemented to battle distractions of student culture that are thought to interfere with the school’s mission of developing the inner and more abstract aspects of character and competency, school dress codes ironically sustain a collective focus on the outermost, material layer of the self.”(1)Many students are not allowed to wear what they choose because of dress codes.Students should feel more comfortable to wear what they want.Which will cause them to do better in
