Dear Committee Members, Harriet Tubman should be named the Reformer of the Year for her work to end slavery. The actions she took were she worked as a conductor on the underground railroad for years. Another one of her actions was when she was free she went back to save her family. One of the changes that was made was that she made thousands of slaves free. Another change that was made was that many escaped slaves got education and jobs. One problem that needed to be fixed was that it was legal to be whipped. Another one of the problems that needed to be fixed was when the slaves would run away on the underground railroad; if they got caught, they would get killed. Harriet Tubman's work to improve and end slavery makes her worthy of the Reformer
