Why was a new Constitution “needed?
The U.S. Constitution was drafted as a replacement for the articles of confederation, as an attempt to give the federal government more power.
What compromises were made at the Constitutional Convention?
The most important compromise was the aptly named Great compromise, in which the legislative branch was split into two houses, one with representatives apportioned by population, and one in which each state is granted two, regardless of their size.

The fourth article lays out the responsibility of the federal government to the states and vice-versa, the rights of state citizens, and the method to go about creating a new state.
The fifth article describes the process by which the constitution is to be amendment, and temporarily shielded the first clauses of sections three and nine of article one from being amended.
The sixth article is mostly an attempt to ensure the smooth transition from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution. For example, it declares that all debts accrued before the adoption of the constitution remain valid.
The seventh article sets the number of state ratifications of the constitution necessary for it to take for it to take effect. It also defines how states are to ratify it.
Summarize the liberties given in the bill of rights
The bill of rights is essentially a list of limits placed upon government power to ensure the preservation of the rights of Americans. Among other things, they seek to ensure freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly and the right to own a firearm.
