Have you ever almost fallen asleep in class and you needed a piece of gum to keep you awake? I believe that all students should be allowed to chew gum at school. I know that you think that we are not capable of being responsible enough to chew gum at school. It is scientifically proven that 35% of test scores have gone up due to gum chewing. Chewing gum helps the students study and remember what they studied for a test. Gum helps students stay awake even during the most boring lessons. Chewing gum also helps improve memory.
Students should be allowed to chew gum at school because it helps them remember what they studied for a test. NBC news states, “ They found that a burst of gum chewing before testing improved a student’s performance on several of the tests.” This shows that chewing gum a school or during a test helps improve the students scores. This also demonstrates that if you want your students to get great test scores then they should be allowed to chew gum at school.
