Big or small Imagine this; you are a student in an overcrowded classroom with more than 30 people. You sit at a small, cramped desk packed into a classroom not designed for that many students. Half of your class is struggling and getting bad grades and many of your fellow students are choosing to dropout of school. A surprising amount of students in American public schools deal with this every day. I believe this in unjust and should be stopped. It should be illegal to put more than 25 students in one classroom, and all classrooms should have limits on class size. As a student, it is hard to learn with more than 25 people in one classroom. As a teacher, it is challenging to provide adequate instruction to students with such large class sizes and poor accommodations. When there are more than 25 students are in a classroom, it is difficult for the teacher to provide individual instruction to all students all at once. If a student has a question, but other students have different questions, then each student may have to wait a long time to get answers to their questions, wasting time. A study was conducted with 3 professors at the University of London were effects on grade performance were measured against different class sizes. Instruction was provided to multiple classes, with each class having a different amount of students. The study determined that the class with the least amount of students had the highest grade average, and the class with the largest class size had the lowest grade average. Specifically, the class of 30 students had the lowest grade average while the class with 18 students performed the best and had the highest grade average. This study clearly showed that the more the students in the class the less the students will pay attention and academics
