“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” -Dr. Seuss

Even Dr. Seuss is saying that people have everything they need to go down the right path, but some high schoolers have already given up. “Every year, over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States alone. That’s a student every 26 seconds or 7,000 a day.”

The dropout age should be raised for high school because high schoolers who have “dropped out” are likely to be unhappy and they regret their decision.

If the school is really harsh, more people could drop-out because of them not liking the school.

If schools are suspending more kids instead of working with them. They would just give up or might have behavioral problems that will eventually lead to dropping out soon.
