This will give students the opportunity to focus all their attention on the one class/time they choose as well as maintain a part/full time job or sports schedule if need-be. This will also benefit the teachers by giving them the option to teach a selected course at one or two of the selected times each month. This schedule will allow courses to be more available from 2-4 classes in a normal semester to up to 20 (four time blocks x 5 months a semester) based on class fill-up and teacher availability. This could open up the opportunity for students to graduate in approximately 3 years (120 credits/39 a semester = 117 in 3 years with one course
With both the student and teacher having three less classes a day cuts down on stress. It also cuts down on the homework load for the student. Teenagers have a lot of responsibilities. Many high school students find it hard to manage their time and balance all of their activities. Many are involved with work, sports, bands, clubs, and many other activities.
Teachers have reported academic improvements, better attendance, and students that are less moody and less likely to fall asleep in class, and I know you care for each student in the district and want the best for each individual. A simple change in the school schedule can decrease these risks and result in successful
People use the time in between classes to study for their classes or to get assignments completed if they are taking an online
Both teachers and students will be exhausted from working so hard during the day and having homework to do and papers to grade at night with little to no
School is stressful for most students and Panther Time implements a time for students, as well as teachers, to relax during the school day. It is also a great idea because with block scheduling, classes are long and can be boring. Having intramurals during Panther Time rewards students with excellent grades a time to get energized during the day. Panther Time also gives students a time to relax without the stress of getting more and more homework throughout the day.
Open campus at lunch time is a huge advantage for high school students, and is a great punishment as well. The student's responsibility to come back to school on time will have consequences if students don't follow it. This will help them realize that the word is run by rules and if people don't follow them, there will always have consequences. Students will be gaining responsibility for collage and the real world after that. To succeed in life people need independence, maturity, and responsibility.
Students never have a complete experience except on the installment plan (Gatto, part I, pars 11). I received flashbacks from my childhood, when I knew there could have been additional work to do before the bell rang. I always ended up being swept away into a completely different environment to advance skills in a random field of knowledge. To counter my agreement, the set class times did help in my erudition to what studies I relished more and the areas which I felt were unbearable. This determined my time management based on interests outside of school.
People who come out can see others treat them differently when the people around them act differently towards them. In the Novel called Metamorphosis the was written by Franz Kafka, we see the example of someone coming out. In this novel, there are allegories which relate to a family member coming out. Three allegory examples are people feeling body dissatisfaction, a family member can show physical abuse and isolation after coming out connect to adolescent psychology. Thesis: The book Metamorphosis shows the allegory for the main character coming out and the treatment the main character is receiving from their family members and the way they feel about their body after coming out.
If all student were fed free before school i think they would learn better. they will have more nutrition throughout the day. they will stay concentrated more when they are in class. they will be able to think better rather than stare off into space.
They need time to grade exams and finalize grades from the previous semester, and they only have a short break between school years (Towler). By the time they do this, they might have less than a week to prepare themselves, their lessons, and their rooms (Towler). This is not an adequate amount of time for the teachers and it could impact students learning as well (Towler). Teachers also might have a hard time collaborating with each other because many of them are on different tracks (Towler). Students on different tracks might be learning completely different, or maybe even opposite lessons due to lack of collaboration between their teachers (Towler).
In the shorter class I also performed labs on a daily basis, but would have to stop in the middle of an experiment most days in order to catch my next class. The following day I would finish only after having to set up and take down my station all over again. If I would have had an extra fifteen minutes I could have finished the whole lab within one class period which would have helped to save valuable class time and resources, but with the limited availability of teaching time that was not
I think there should be four day school weeks because students most likely want more free time out of school. The school days will end at 4:00 or maybe 4:30 pm because regular school days wouldn’t be enough learning time. This way we could have longer class periods and it’ll help because you’ll get the help you need and work will be handed in on time. Every student has missing work, longer school days help you get some of it all in and grades will be up. Plus, maybe students could do a little work on the day that they won’t have school.
To keep schools running 5 days a week is such a high cost that really isn’t affordable. This causes budget cuts and that makes for a lower quality learning experience”. That shows just by shorting the hours and days students go to school makes a big impact in the amount of money being saved. To add on to why schools should be shorter is the amount of sleep students get a day. Have you ever thought about how much sleep your child is getting or in better words how much sleep is your child missing.
Although this could result in students being in school 30 minutes longer it gives them the opportunity to complete some tasks that would cause them stress later that
