If Mr. Ramsey wants to eliminate Wildcat Time to lengthen the duration of each period, then I fully support him.Wildcat time should be a time to do homework or speak with a teacher about missing or incomplete work, but most students just use it for chatting with their friends or roaming the halls with no purpose. If nothing productive is being done during Wildcat Time then what is the point of having it?
With more time being devoted to classes, teachers and students can accomplish more every day. When there are longer periods, more work will be completed and Wildcat Time will no longer be needed to contact teachers about unfinished work. If students need their teacher’s assistance, they should be responsible enough to email them the night before
