William Shakespeare is known for being the most renowned playwright of all time, and is also said to be the English national poet, and the so-called ‘Bard of Avon’. He was a successful man who, today made a major impact on this world with his amazing works in the field of literature, due to his prolific works in poetry and playwriting. Here he learned to read and write, in a curriculum based upon a classic education of Latin authors, and was also taught about Greek and Roman history. Throughout much of his childhood, and the years leading up to his manhood, William and his family suffered due to his father’s financial debts. Due to this, William, unlike many of his other playwright counterparts, was unable to attend a university, and instead, in 1582, at the age of 18, decided to marry Anne Hathaway, a women 8 years older than him, who was already three months pregnant with his child. Around 1592, after the “lost years” of Shakespeare passed, there was a revival of his work in London, in which he is referred to as an “upstart crow” in a pamphlet written in 1592 by Robert Greene.
