Wired Raising Pinoy Kids in the Digital Age is a book which explains fully how a student’s exposure to gadgets affect the students behavior and attitude especially his or her academic performance. Written by Queena N. Lee-Chua, PhD; Ma. Isabel Sison-Dionisio, MA, Nerisa C. Fernandez and Michele S. Alignay, MA which are all mothers and experts in family ministries, the authors will share their struggles as mothers and how they were able to overcome those challenges. It will be seen at the end of the each chapter how their parenting positively affected their children’s performance at school. Summary: The book started on discussing first the false perception of most parents towards the internet including the myth that internet makes a child smarter. It was explained in this part why other schools prefer books instead of having tablets for students. With the use of surveys, it was proven how computers have no effect on the students’ performance and was in fact worsening their academic performance.
