After reading the story about Larry landlord and tenant Roger Renter, I feel like Roger should have inspected everything himself before moving in because sometimes owners will not tell you everything that is going on. Roger should have got the roof checked and looked at the ceiling in the apartment to see if anything seems like it has a leak, and if he saw something, he should have told the landlord and the landlord should have fixed the issue. Also, Roger should have made Larry wrote a covenant because he would have had some documentation that Larry stated he was going to repair the leak. For instance, when I and my finance moved to Valdosta in an apartment the manager of the apartments stated they checked all apartments.

I call to your attention that the documents sent in response to my requests are incomplete, at least in so far as the HOA Bylaws are concerned. Note that the Bylaws pdf document begins and ends with "page 3". Missing are pages 1 and 2 which undoubtedly includes HOA incorporation provisions such as officer/director positions, date and quorum for annual meeting, etc. As a long time condominium owner and board member I take issue with comments made in previous responses from Lynn Gunter and Mark Blake concerning requests for documents.

Is it accurate that the dues are different for the two townhome properties as Linda states? If so, what are the HOA dues for the two properties? Furthermore, if this is true, there is no way a Veranda owner can equitably represent a Carriage owner. Therefore, it is paramount that each community has its own board member seated on the board.

The first New York tenements began construction in the 1850s. Landlords had realized that they could make a large profit by building inexpensive housing for the poor. For many years, there were no laws requiring developers to provide their tenants with gas, running water, plumbing, or decent lighting and ventilation. Developers wanted to maximize their rent and cut costs as much as they could. A total of 15,309 tenements existed in New York by 1865.

About three or four years ago my sister and her fiance at the time moved in together. That was perfect for them, not only because they were going to get married soon but because they didn't need to worry about finding a place to live after they got married. Unfortunately, their relationship came to an end due to differences and lack of ‘space’. The ‘cohabiting’ situation in some ways did not help them and in other ways it did. Living with your partner before marriage is something that many couples over the years have done to try to see if their relationship will be successful in the future.
