Wendy Ma Ms. Menzel Women in Relationship Block:3 14 May 2018 Final Reflection For this semester, the religion class “Women in Relationship,” we learned four themes in the class, which are self, romantic, family, and friends. All of these four terms are relating to our lives and reflect ourselves. After I learned those four themes during this semester, they resonated me and impacted me a lot. We learned “Self Relationship” at the beginning. When I saw “Self,” I knew that means the type of person I am, my character, and my typical behavior, etc. There were some terms that we learned in Self Relationship, which were the vocation, ministry, lifestyle, and the value, etc. Vocation means that your purpose in life is to do a specific job. When we make friends, we should get along with them and develop strong friendships with them. Friends are one of important role in our daily lives. Strong friendships can help people have more common conversations (Lopez). For me, I like to make friends and build friendships with them since it can help with more understand my friends. I know that friendships are significant for us. Communication refers to the process of exchanging information or expressing thoughts and feelings. In our daily lives, communication is the usual thing. We need to have conversations with our friends. And communication is also important because when we have conversations with other, we should use the respect tone and words to talk with each other. For me, I always respect others when I talk with them so that other will more like me and I can make more friends. In unhealthy friendships, people laugh at each other, gossip or spread rumors, or accuse each other. Healthy friendships allow each other to grow and change. When a person grows or changes, unhealthy friendships are threatened (Bluestein). When we are making friends, we need to know that who can trust and who will pose a threat to us. Someone that we cannot make friend with him because he might harm us or bring us in a wrong way. So I will talk with everyone before I make friend with him and make sure I can trust
