The protagonist who is a 9th grader named Ishmael Lesseur is sticking to the shadows and staying out of everyone’s way especially Barry Bagsley who has target Ishmael and has been harassing him since first day of year 8 at St Daniels Boys Collage. His mother believes that he should go to school, even though his father, and Auggie doesn’t want to go. There are many things that make “Citizen Kane” considered as possibly one of the greatest films every made; to the eyes of the passive audience this film may not seem the most amazing, most people being accustomed to the classical Hollywood style, but to the audience with an eye for the complex, “Citizen Kane” breaks the traditional Hollywood mold and forges its own path for the better. This was the September precept “When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind.”- Dr. Wayne Dyer. I fell this means that you should choose kindness over the ability to be right.
Nowadays bullying has become the major and common problem for children and can awfully affect their lives in many different ways such as depression and suicide. William Golding’s novel, Lord of the Flies, takes place in the 1950’s in England, where Golding used to be a school teacher and face many types of problems among children. According to his novel, bullying is a particular problem for Piggy who cannot fit in a community because of his initial appearance. Auggie 's facial deformity is what Julian uses to relentlessly tease Auggie. Auggie is entering middle school which is his greatest challenge yet. Auggie has always been homeschooled and he is cautious about what the other students will say about him, but not everyone is going to be mean to him.
This book is about a boy, August, who has a facial deformity. For most of his life he has never been outside of the homeschooling field, until his mom convinces him to try to go to public school. Once August starts going to school, many kids start to make fun of him. One thing I liked about this read was how it went through many different perspectives throughout the book. However, I didn’t like how almost everyone in the story had something mean to say about August.
