While both Thomson and Etzioni describe what it is to work in a specific type of environment, Thompson immerses himself in the job and Etzioni argues that working while still in high school should be avoided. One of these characters is Há, a ten year old girl who is forced to leave everything behind and move to America. Há evolves throughout the novel by learning English. When Há first moves to America, Há doesn’t understand the language and is confused and frustrated. By the end of the novel, Há isn’t fluent in the language, but she has greatly improved.

She quit running after her father’s passing, and copes by trying to control every aspect of her life, from her hair to her studies. She has the perfect boyfriend, Jason, and has been tasked with his job at the library while he goes to Brain Camp for the summer. First, I totally support Etzioni’s idea that education is very important and that students should concentrate on their students because working can undermine school attendance and involvement. Etzioni made a very strong and convincing point that working in McDonald 's is not good. Etzioni refers to "The Founding Fathers" in paragraph 3 as the advantages of working in McDonald’s that they can instill work ethics such as drive and self-reliance to students but these jobs can also undermine school attendance and involvement. Jobs aren’t the easiest thing to get. It is extremely difficult to balance a job with all that work and studying. while in college students have to make money some way, but the only problem with that is time management. everybody likes like buying new clothes, jewelry and personal items. people spend their time in college barely getting by, partying and wasting their time.
Everyone has a responsibility to do. However, for working student like me that having a part-time job while taking college courses is a big responsibility. I decided to go to school full-time and work part-time to learn to become independent. In the essay “Working at Wendy’s” by Joey Franklin, he makes a case for setting aside pride to provide the daily needs of a family. On the other hand, I think it was great to have the experience as long as it made me more money.
