Introduction

From employee health & wellness programs to the latest performance management systems, many organizations try to implement the latest management trends in hopes of gaining a competitive advantage. Workplace diversity is one of those movements that organizations have tried to capitalize on in recent years.
The elements of diversity that are generally examined are “race, ethnicity, sex, social class, religion, nationality, and sexual identity” (Ely & Thomas, 2001).
