Diversity and inclusiveness are an important aspect of the NSO because every first-year or transfer student should know that they have a place in the Trinity community. Diversity to me is the ability for everyone to acknowledge the differences between people and view it as a strength, and a means of broadening perspectives, rather than a tool for differentiation. Furthermore, with a strong base of diversity, a sense of inclusiveness can be developed. To me, inclusiveness means to make a direct effort to bring in as many people into social groups or situations and encourage participation.
