America was left with an enormous problem after the civil war, thousands of unskilled people. But, through strategic decisions this would lead to tremendous industrial growth. Industrialization grew rapidly during the period of 1860-1900 as a result of a verity of factors .Technological advancements, monopolies, and political assistance would all contribute in making America one of the leading global powers.
The American economy was greatly influenced by advancement in the 1800’s, which caused many changes in society and regional identities. Some of these advancements were in the areas of technology, agriculture and commerce. In this period we saw inventions such as the sewing machine, the waltham-lowell factory system, and railroads sweep the nation, and drastically alter the United States economy. The first advancement that impacted the nation was the sewing machine.
During the time between the Civil War and the end of World War I industrialization was a big part in the economic, social, and political development of the United States. All three developed the way they did as an effect of industrialization. Economically more money was made from more manufactured goods. Socially living conditions became different. Politically more laws were passed to address problems.
Big business that produced goods helped spread economics to the world scene. The agricultural revolution helped crops be harvested way better and faster, allowing for crops to make an appearance at the world scene. The great improvements that factories, big business, and agriculture brought, pushed hard for America to expand, and
Farm technology made a lot of progress from 1890-1920. Before this time, all the farming was done by hand. There were many inventions from wire to tractors to help make farming easier. Three inventions that really changed farming were gas tractors, cream separator and horse drawn combine. Gas tractors were created so that you didn’t have to use your horses so much and so you could pull more.
Advances in technology let America boom with new products. Farms began to grow more crops which made the cost of food cheaper and easier to supply for America. New hits were being released on the radio for everyone to hear and buy. Americans began to rely on the radio to get hourly updates on their news, sports, and entertainment needs. Americans began crowding the cities which made them a more popular place to visit.
Automobiles. Telephones. Lightbulbs. These were some of the major technological innovations created during 1865 to 1920. These creations impacted many Americans, even to this day.

(b) Firstly, the emergence of banks help farmers to achieve commercialization in agriculture, and also allow them to buy agricultural machines and pay the debt after harvest. After the Civil War America became industrialized because it started to become modernized and jobs were available. During this time America started to develop new inventions. What new technologies enabled the growth of interregional trade networks and agricultural development (be specific)? The invention of paper money, the compass, and larger trading ships helped grow interregional trade networks such as the Indian Ocean Trade Route and the Mediterranean Trade Route. Paper money helped trade because it is easier to produce and lighter to trade with than traditional metal coins. The invention of the compass let traders out at sea sail without fear of getting lost, which helped ships get to their destinations quicker than before. Large trading ships, like the Chinese junks, allowed more goods to be transported at a time since they can carry so much more across the ocean.
And industry was totally undeveloped, forcing households to act as miniature factories, producing almost everything they would need. In the 1800’s though, the lives of nearly all Americans was changed. Transportation has revolutionized trade and the connections between different places. In early America, roads were in such bad shape traveling any significant distance was dangerous. Commerce was driven by rivers.
Economic Change in America Change is relevant within every time period, however, very substantial changes took place in the Americas following the War of 1812. Future success of the American society was to be dictated by the support the federal government supplied to domestic manufacturing and infrastructure to make drastic improvements economically. The imposition of high tariffs, advancements in transportation and the development of the cotton gin are among the most important changes made in the United States during this time.

This caused America to flourish with new inventions, for example the automobile, household machinery, television, etc. Even old inventions and ideas were improving, like the radio, movies, and the use of advertising. The radio, movies, driving, and buying the various new products became a part of the daily lives. These inventions created a sense of ease for daily lives in America in the 1920s. It made life, jobs, and experiences easier.
