Reflection Essay I believe since taking this English course has given me a better understanding on my writing and my personal composing process. My attitude towards writing has changed and I feel this class has and will make a significant impact in my life. Throughout this class I have discovered my composing strengths and weaknesses. I feel I have made improvement in my writing since the beginning of this course and I hope to improve with practice. One of my strengths comes from writing about a topic that is interesting to me. I noticed that when I write about less interesting topics, it tends to take me more time when composing an essay. I feel at time that I know when I am making a mistake in my grammar and I know when it needs revising. I also continue having trouble using the correct punctuation in my sentences. I tend to use commas where they are not needed or I forget to place them where they are needed. If these commas are not used properly, they can make my sentences confusing for others to read. Using an outline is more of a weakness for me. It does help me to gather my thoughts, but sometimes I stray away from what I already have mapped out on my outline. This English course has given me the opportunity and advantage of becoming a better writer and knowing what areas I need to improve on. The biggest impact this course has had in my learning experience is helping me in the future with my personal life and career. Being a nurse requires important documentation and this course has given me a better understanding on how to document using the proper grammar. I have gained skills and knowledge that will help me in my future courses to advance in my
