I want to join Year Up because the program appeals to many of my interest. I believe that Year Up is a good program for me. I am young and very devoted to learning new things and I believe the whole purpose of Year Up to give us youth the skills and training we need to achieve our personal goals. Year Up is a way for me to gain entry-level skills in the growing field of technology. I believe that I am a good candidate for Year Up because of my determination, hard working mindset, and personal values that will contribute to the Year Up program.

As upholding freedom, humanity, and peace are strongly emphasised in both the APU 2030 vision and admission policy, I am willing to cultivate myself as a global citizen who is ready to make the world peaceful with the international mutual understanding of diverse cultures. Thus, I aim to learn how sustainability and tourism can make a positive impact on our planet under the faculty of tourism and sustainability at APU. Additionally, I acknowledge that the quality of the education system at APU will allow me to learn, create global learning values, and conduct research with international standards. Moreover, as stated in the APU 2030 vision, support from the university will also allow me to build new partnerships with various organizations
Moreover, I hope to find other organizations and opportunities to serve others, either on or off campus, that will make others' lives better, possibly even becoming involved in initiatives run by the local school system, since I hope to be heavily involved in at least one of the local schools as I
My education provides the foundation for my future. In order to ensure my success, I must also continue to engage in service projects. My involvement in community service with National Honor Society has kindled
My future plans include going off to Utica College for nursing. I have known my major since I was five years old and my education that has been provided has only encouraged my decision. Even though I am going off into the medical field, my time spent playing sports, being in the drama club, national honors society, and participating in community has actually influenced my decision to do so. The mission statement to be educationally affective and academically effective has been shown through and through here at Little
Just as with many of my previous academic moments it continued the drive I had already had. While my education continued to teach me valuable lessons and give me hands on experience I began to gain a stronger sense rooted in development and the protection of others by hopefully continuing my education at Loyola University Chicago in the Masters of Social Work/Masters of Arts in Social Justice Program which would give me the opportunity to not only eventually become a social worker with the Department of Social Services (DSS), with a school, or a guardian ad litem but to do that work effectively with the chance that would be afforded to me of an academic background steeped in social work as well as social justice teachings. This program in particular continues the undergraduate work and furthers my education on my path to my
Being able to connect with the community and with my peers will be a valuable and unforgettable experience. Not only will I be able to learn from the community, but from my fellow peers, medical students, high school students, and other undergraduates as well. Getting to me mentored by people who have done what I want to do will be enriching, it’ll be an experience that ill cherish forever. Creating long lasting friendships with people who have similar interest.
Personal Statement I began my educational journey at Rose State College, where I earned an Associate's Degree in General Studies. I went back to school at Mid-America Christian University the following semester to pursue a Degree in Psychology. It is my belief that once I started school at Mid-America Christian University, I began to learn in a much different way than ever before. After completing my first two semesters at MACU growing closer and closer to the University is exactly what I was doing. I began working two student worker jobs on top of participating in athletics on Mid-America Christian University's baseball team.
Having the opportunity to continue my education on the graduate level would be an honor. Earning my Bachelors in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Africana Studies, I have paved a foundation for myself to continue improving and enriching my community by advocating for laws and policy that affect everyone, but most importantly impact my community. Furthering my dreams, but also developing the skills needed to encourage the young generations who will follow by my lead is inspiring. Being
What does it mean to be a social hero? “To be a hero is means you step across the line and are willing to make a sacrifice, so heroes always are making a sacrifice. Heroes always take a risk. Heroes always are deviant. Heroes always doing something that most people don't and we want to change” (Philip Zimbardo).
I am a firm believer that in order to be happy and successful, you need to have a job that you love to do. This ideology is what motivated me to want to become a nurse practitioner and help the people in my community. Attending California State University, Los Angeles is allowing me to pursue my academic goal of getting into the nursing program. I aspire to get my bachelors of science in nursing to be able to become a registered nurse. After gaining experience as a registered nurse, I will pursue a master of science in nursing to become a nurse practitioner.
When Robert Bolt titled A Man for All Seasons, he did not draw from the story’s main men as inspiration. A “man for all seasons” is a man of great aspects and capabilities, a description the men of Bolt’s play do not fall under. The play follows English nobility during a tumultuous time in British history. King Henry VIII wishes to divorce his wife, his brother’s widow, as the pair finds themselves unable to birth a male heir. Sir Thomas More rises to the title of Lord Chancellor, and the King hopes to convince More to support the divorce.
To enhance my experience I would like to work with veterans, adult homeless, and the mentally ill. My objective is to be admitted into the Master of Science degree program with an option in Rehabilitation Counseling, where I can grow and take on new challenges. Ultimately, I would like to assume further educational and gain work experience that would allow me to work more effectively with people with disabilities. Most importantly, I would like to work for an agency where I can build a career in counseling and possibly management. I am driven to be the best at what I do.
It is not only my intellectual curiosity, but also my passion towards giving back to the community, that will lead me to success. As a UD honors student, I plan on joining organizations and performing volunteer work that I have done in high school. It will allow me to consolidate my musical and creative passions, while participating in new extracurricular activities pertaining to sports and community service. I believe that with the University of Delaware’s many opportunities, I can have the potential to become a strong leader and active member of the UD Honors community. The lessons that I have learned from working with these children will forever remain a part of me, as I hope to grow to be someone who will one day be able to change society, and will remind me to always dare to
